Introduction : Pakhsh Ferdows Company is a distribution company; its main activities are distribution of pharmaceuticals, laboratory devices, hospital equipment, cosmetic and hygienic products.
History : Ferdows Distribution Company is founded on 9 March 1976 as « Dow Chemical of Iran ». After victory of Islamic revolution of Iran, Six major distributing company was chosen for distribution of Pharmaceuticals which Pakhsh Ferdows was one of them and the company has begun its official duty since 1981.On 25 Feb 1982, I its name was changed to « Pakhsh Ferdows ». During 1981-92, National industry organisation of Iran has transferred its shares to private sector. On 4 Dec 2006 its name was changed to « Pakhsh Ferdows Company ».

Plant area: Ferdows has 35000 square meter storage place, and 7000 square meter administrative building.
Staff: now, this company has 550 personnel.

Pakhsh Ferdows Company, which perform a nationwide distribution of pharmaceuticals, laboratory devices, hospital equipment, cosmetic and hygienic products, has a Head quarter and 21 distribution centers. Head quarter of the company is located in Tehran, Sattar-khan Ave, Darian nou, North of Zanjan St, No 41 and the distribution centers are located in Ahwaz, Arak, Ardebil, Qazvin , Gonabad, Gorgan, Hamedan, Isfehan, Kerman, Kermanshah, Meshed, Rasht, Sari, Shiraz, Tabriz, Urmieh, Yazd, Zahedan, Zanjan, and 2 distribution centers in Tehran.

Philosophy–After victory of Islamic revolution of Iran, Six major distributing company was chosen for distribution of Pharmaceuticals which Pakhsh Ferdows was one of them. This company has done its mission which based on religious beliefs, Islamic thoughts and pain relief of human beings and patients, since then. The company has always born in mind the respect of all interested and their satisfaction. Personnel and Shareholders are internal interested and pharmaceutical suppliers, Customers, Society, and the Ministry of health are external interested which the company carries out its strategies and targets on the basis of supplying their needs and satisfaction .
Product and customers – main activities of the company are distribution of pharmaceuticals, laboratory devices, hospital equipments, cosmetic and hygienic products and its services consist of ordering and distributing of pharmaceutical in the farthest point of the country, giving information and scientific guidelines to customers . Customers of Pakhsh Ferdows company are pharmacies, Medical – health centers, clinics, and hospitals (private and public).
Market – Pakhsh Ferdows Company has considered internal market, presents its services through Islamic republic of Iran, and supervises activities of 21 dispersed distribution centers within the country.
In Iran, market of pharmaceuticals, laboratory devices, hospital equipments, cosmetic and hygienic products is competition. In pharmaceuticals, six Major distributing company which Ferdows is one of them, and some minor distributing company has taken the market under their control.
Technology – Often, utilizing modern technology in establishing, development, renovating, equipping distribution centers and storage places has taken considered . The most important technology in distributing is IT which is limited now and necessary actions for its developing are performing .
Survival, growth, and profitability considerations – Survival consideration depends on competitive power. The company have been saved of bankruptcy since Aug 2006, and by using a scientific method on marketing, it gains a good rank among other distributing companies.
Specific character – Pakhsh Ferdows in reliance on ability and creative power of its experienced personnel and their severe interest, and some relative facilities ( establishment of some new storages and developing IT systems ) could go by some long steps ( high rate and regular tour ) in competition market .
Consideration to conception of the public – Target of the company is presentation of services to patients by distributing pharmaceuticals. Although, there is no point for helping to charity institution in constitution of the company but some limited actions have been performed. In environmental conversation case, the company has accepted guidelines of health ministry.
Consideration to personnel – The board and senior director of the company always have specific consideration on problems of personnel and by present facilities, they have tried to satisfy personnel .
Some actions which have done until now, consist of Repairing of salary, giving different loans ( urgency, house, therapeutic ), establishment of consumersُ cooperative, encouraging the distinguished children of personnel, and paying bonus in festivals.
All the board and senior directors efforts are to perform other actions, as facilities permitted, in this case.
Vision – Bearing in mind changes in national pharmaceutical market ( inclusive of producing, distributing, and importing of pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical prices without subsidiary) in next five years, we may observe many other changes in pharmaceutical policy. Therefore, Pakhsh Ferdows company have decided to increase competitive power and quality of its products and services by scientific services on market, utilizing modern marketing systems, IT, designing necessary systems and process, establishing teaching courses for directors, increasing of technical personnel and expert forces . The company has decided to increase economical surveillance dependencies of customers by developing the quality and quantity of its services, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
Pakhsh Ferdows company have always tried to increase its profitability relation to interested and has the belief which learning culture, utilizing modern technology, increasing the quality and quantity of pharmaceuticals, acting according to world standard, decreasing operational expenditure, satisfying interested, presenting new products and services, encouraging shareholders to increase capital are actions which can cause survival, growth and profitability of the company .
